No electricity, no running water, no flush toilets, and no overnight camping, just porta-potties and a BYO-water situation. Older or mobility-limited guests will find the steep granite trails genuinely difficult, especially after rain.
Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
Fall is the primary draw here. Late September through mid-October brings peak foliage and the clearest long-range views. Summit temperatures typically range from the mid-30s to mid-50s during autumn, with calm winds that favor hiking and photography. Bugs can be annoying during warmer months. The summit stays noticeably colder and windier than the base even on mild days, so layers are necessary year-round.
Fall is primary draw; late Sept–mid-Oct peak foliage and clearest long-range views.

The park features picnic tables and a small pavilion at the Overlook View Pavilion, which can host up to 50 individuals. The pavilion is equipped with picnic tables but does not include electricity, flush toilets, or running water. Porta-potties, including handicap-accessible ones, are available. The park enforces a carry-in/carry-out trash policy, and wood fires are prohibited per the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal. Visitors are encouraged to bring gas or charcoal grills and their own drinking water.
