Summer brings the warmest, most reliable weather for enjoying Cable Mountain’s hiking, boating on nearby Georgetown Lake, fishing the North Fork of Flint Creek, and even a dip in calmer lakes — expect daytime highs roughly 65–80°F with cool nights around 35–50°F. Trails are fully accessible, wildflowers and green alpine meadows are at their peak, and wildlife activity is high in mornings and evenings. Cable Mountain Campground has 11 first-come, first-served campsites across about 5 wooded acres. Sites include picnic tables and fire rings; one water pump and three vault restrooms are on site. The campground is accessible late May through mid-November depending on weather, and visitors must physically arrive to claim a site (payment may be possible on-site via a Recreation.gov QR code and mobile app).
