Paddlers and shore fishermen targeting bluegill and bass who can show up Thursday or Friday to claim a lakeside site before the weekend rush. The sandy beach and calm water make this an easy summer base for families.
Pets are not allowed, full stop. The $52 flat rate also stings for what's a fairly rustic setup, and anyone counting on cell service for navigation or emergencies should know coverage is patchy away from the open water.
