Best season: spring. Spring delivers the best combination of comfortable temperatures (daytime highs typically in the mid-60s to low-80s, nights 45–60°F), blooming wildflowers, and active wildlife, making it ideal for hiking, birding, and shoreline fishing. Water levels are friendly for boating and early-season swimming as the lake warms, and largemouth bass and crappie fishing are often excellent in April–May. Crowd levels are moderate—weekends fill up with boaters and anglers, but weekdays remain peaceful—so plan Peak months: April, May, March, October
Spring called the best time: pleasant temps, wildflowers, and peak bass/crappie fishing.
