Loop RC sits on the north side of Jonathan Dickinson State Park, offering 30 gravel sites with full hookups beneath longleaf pines. The River Campground loop is the most private camping area in the park, with better vegetation screening than the park's other loops. Sites accommodate RVs up to 35 feet and tents. The Loxahatchee River and boat ramp are a short walk from camp.

Weather and SeasonsLate fall through early spring is the best window. Temperatures sit in the mid-70s to low-80s during fall, with much lower humidity than summer and good conditions for hiking, biking, and paddling. Winter and early spring are popular and book up fast. Summer brings intense mosquitoes, gnats, high humidity, and less pleasant camping. Keep an eye on the Atlantic hurricane outlook in September and October.
Natural Features and SceneryTall longleaf pines shade the campsites, with thick vegetation backing many outer-loop sites. The Loxahatchee River flows nearby. Campers walk or bike to the boat ramp and docks for river views and waterfront access. Juniper Lake sits within easy reach for swimming. Wildlife is common: white-tailed deer graze near sites, squirrels and raccoons roam the loops, and wading birds, ospreys, and hawks appear along the river. Alligators and river otters turn up on boat tours and along the banks. The park is home to the red-cockaded woodpecker, a federally endangered species that nests in these old pines.
Scenic ViewsWooded forest views with nearby river access; sunsets over the forest and moonlit reflections on the Blackwater River are noted highlights.
