No potable water, no toilets, no cell signal info, no pets, no road access at all. If your gear list doesn't already include a water filter and a dry bag, this site will punish the oversight.
Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
Fall delivers the best conditions: daytime highs between 70 and 85°F, nights in the 50s and 60s, lower humidity, and excellent water clarity. Migratory birds pass through, undergrowth thins, and sightlines improve for wildlife viewing. Bass and panfish stay active. Summer brings heat and humidity with afternoon thunderstorms. Winter cools down but stays dry. Crowds are light most of fall, though deer season can draw hunters to the forest.
Fall noted as best: 70–85°F days, lower humidity, clearer water and migratory birds.
