Go if

Anglers and boaters who want creek access without the crowds: the dock and trailered-boat ramp put you on brim-filled water fast, and spring (mid-70s days, 50s nights) is the sweet spot. Bring your own water since there's none on-site.

Skip if

Tent campers wanting any sense of seclusion will be disappointed. Sites are very open with minimal screening between them, fire ants are a real and persistent problem in the camping area, and only three reservable sites means this fills on spring weekends.
