No privacy between sites is the defining tradeoff here. Sites are open gravel and grass with no tree screening between neighbors, and the small beach gets packed in summer. No pets allowed, no cell service, no electric hookups.
Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
Fall delivers the best conditions here. Crisp days with temperatures in the mid-40s to mid-60s°F make for comfortable hiking and paddling without summer heat or bugs. The foliage reflecting off the lake is striking, though weekends during peak color can get busy. The camping season runs late into October. Summer brings warm, sun-drenched weather ideal for swimming and water sports, but also crowds and insects. Winter camping is possible for those who don't mind the cold and minimal services.
Fall rated best: vivid foliage mirrored in lake; reviewers highly recommend foliage season.
