No boat means no access, full stop. At $50-100/night for primitive sites with zero listed amenities, the cost-to-comfort ratio only works if serious fishing or total solitude is the whole point of the trip.

Spring is the prime season, with daytime highs from the mid-60s to mid-80s°F and cool nights in the 40s-50s. Water levels and temperatures are comfortable for boating and fishing. Wildflowers bloom across the desert floor. Weekdays stay peaceful; weekend crowds pick up during peak bloom. Summer brings intense desert heat that makes the remote boat-in access more challenging. Winter offers quieter conditions but cooler water temperatures.
Spring noted as prime season with comfortable days (60s–80s) and wildflower blooms.
