The campground is currently closed for the season due to hazardous trees, check conditions before planning anything. Also, no hookups, no dump station, and rough access roads mean big rigs or anyone expecting RV amenities will be disappointed.
Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
Summer delivers the most reliable access. Daytime highs settle in the mid-60s to low 80s°F, with nights cooling to the mid-30s to 50s°F. The campground opens in late April if snow clears, but full services and reservoir access don't hit their stride until mid-May. By early September the reservation window closes and nights turn cold. Pack warm layers for evenings and insect repellent for June and July. Snow can linger into May some years, so check road conditions before you drive up.
Campground open mid-May through September; peak season for hiking, fishing and boating.
