Best season: fall. Fall offers the most comfortable weather for exploring the red‑rock landscape — expect daytime highs typically in the 60s–80s°F and cool nights in the mid‑30s to low‑50s°F — so long hikes on the New Wave trails and photography are easy without summer heat. Vegetation colors are subtle but the light is golden and crowds thin compared with spring break and summer weekends, making it easier to secure one of the six first‑come, first‑served sites. Cooler, stable weather also reduces monsoon and heat Peak months: October, April, May, November
Fall called the 'sweet spot' with mild temps, thinner crowds and great hiking weather.
Beehives Campground offers a very basic camping experience with minimal amenities. It features six designated sites, each equipped with one picnic table. There are no hookups, restrooms, or trash facilities. Campfires are prohibited, and campers must bring their own portable toilets and pack out all waste.
