Large RVs will have a rough time: roads are narrow, hilly, and lined with trees, and some pads have erosion issues that make leveling a real project. Arrive after dark and the tight turns get worse.
Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
Fall is the standout season here. September through October brings daytime highs around 50–65°F and cool nights in the 30s–40s, with the hardwood hills showing reliable color. Mosquitoes drop off, crowds thin, and hiking around the lake feels less crowded. Early fall still offers good boating and fishing before temperatures drop further. Summer works for swimming and paddling, though it's warmer and busier.
Fall called the standout season with reliable color and cool, pleasant temps.
