Best season: summer. Summer is the best time to visit Sardis Cove for warm lake swimming and peak fishing when water temperatures are highest and fish are active (expect daytime highs around 85–95°F / 29–35°C). Boating, dock fishing, and shoreline wildlife viewing are at their most accessible, and the campground’s electric/water hook-ups make overnight stays comfortable. Expect higher weekend crowds and holiday traffic, so reserve early and watch for frequent afternoon thunderstorms and high humidity. Peak months: July, June, August, May
Summer best for swimming, fishing, boating; warm water and daytime highs 85–95°F noted.

Sardis Cove Campground provides basic facilities and amenities for campers. This includes both electric and non-electric campsites. Reviews highlight the proximity of campsites to the lake as a major advantage. Water and electric hookups are available for some sites, and each site is equipped with basic features such as picnic tables, shelters, and fire rings. However, a significant drawback noted by users is the lack of showers and the inconsistent availability of restrooms. Vault toilets are present but are described as basic and sometimes smelly. One camper noted, 'The bathrooms by the tent camping side are always closed,' while another remarked, 'Bathrooms were locked so we had to go up the road to the restrooms, and they were disgusting.'
