Best season: fall. Fall offers the most striking combination of comfortable weather and scenery — crisp, clear days with colorful hardwood foliage along the reservoir and valley slopes (daytime highs typically 55–75°F, nights often dipping to 35–50°F). Hiking, mountain biking, and shoreline wildlife viewing are at their peak as trees turn and migratory birds pass through, while cooler water temperatures make early-morning fishing especially productive. Crowds are lower than midsummer except for prime-leaf-weekends Peak months: October, September, May, June Avoid: November, December, January, February
Described as best season: cooler temps, foliage, and prime biking/hiking conditions.
