Summer offers the most reliable access (Hoodoo Pass typically opens by mid-July) and the best combination of stable weather and long daylight for hiking and mountain-biking; daytime highs at 6,600 ft typically run in the mid-60s to mid-70s °F (18–24 °C) with nights dropping to the 30s–40s °F (0–8 °C). Trails, viewpoints and the restored 1952 lookout are fully usable, wildflower meadows and alpine vistas are at their peak, and remote stargazing is spectacular on clear nights. Expect very low to轻–
