Best Time to Camp at Timbuktu Campground

From April through October, Timbuktu Campground becomes your basecamp for experiencing the Ozarks at their finest. Spring arrives with wildflowers and perfect hiking temperatures, while summer invites you to cool off in the creek after a day on the trails. But here's a secret: some of the best moments happen after dark. With virtually no light pollution, the night sky puts on a show that city dwellers only dream about—constellations so bright and clear you'll find yourself staying up way past bedtime, blanket wrapped around your shoulders, just watching the stars wheel overhead.
