About Reedsburg Dam State Forest Campground

Escape to five cozy lodge-style cabins perched above the Muskegon River, where you'll enjoy stunning hilltop views of the Reedsburg Dam impoundment. Each electric-equipped cabin sleeps up to six guests and features heating, cooling, and a kitchenette (no running water), while adventurous campers can claim riverside tent and trailer sites on a first-come, first-served basis.
Five lodge-style cottage cabins (electric-only) operated by RRM; semi-modern lodging with basic outdoor amenities and nearby campground restrooms.
Natural Features and SceneryNestled where the Muskegon River meets the tranquil waters of Reedsburg Dam's impoundment, this campground offers the perfect blend of forest and water. Wooded riverbanks frame the shoreline while elevated cabin sites provide sweeping views across the water. Launch your boat directly from the campground, cast a line into productive fishing waters, or paddle along peaceful stretches of river. Beyond the campground, miles of state forest lands beckon with that classic northern Michigan forest character—towering pines, hardwood groves, and the kind of quiet that reminds you why you came north in the first place.
