Site 98 in Loop B warns you what tight and sloped looks like across much of this campground. Serious hikers will also be underwhelmed since the trails are short and easy, and the camp store won't bail you out if you forget gear.

Summer works best here. Mid-80s during the day, 60s at night, and the beach stays open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Boat rentals run seasonally. Weekends and holidays get crowded; weekdays are noticeably quieter. Spring can leave sites muddy after rain, and reviewers mention standing water issues. Winter drops temperatures hard, though the park stays open for those who want frozen lake scenery.
Peak season for swimming, boating, rentals; overwhelmingly positive summer reviews.
