Driving directionsTake Highway 95 to Plummer, Idaho. At Plummer take Highway 5 traveling east. Travel approximately 6 miles and at the bottom of a steep winding grade you will take a left onto Chatcolet Road. Hawley's Landing Campground will be the first right. Follow Chatcolet Road approximately 2 miles to get to Chatcolet Campground. The Benewah Campground can be reached by continuing east on Highway 5 past Chatcolet Road. Drive approximately 6 miles and then turn Left onto Benewah Lake Road. Travel down the road approximately 1 mile to reach the campground.
Roads include paved sections and steep winding grades. Some user reviews report that the roads are bumpy and uneven, causing difficulties for large rigs; one review stated, "Currently as of Aug 2023 the roads have been chewed up going into the campgrounds, they are bumpy, rocky, uneven, and will shake your rig to bits so go slow."
