Best season: summer. Summer is the best time to visit for warm, stable weather and peak boating conditions — expect daytime highs around 75–90°F and cool nights around 50–60°F. Long daylight hours make it ideal for paddling, motorboating, swimming, hiking among the geological formations, and evening stargazing. Expect moderate to busy weekends (holidays are busiest); be aware that late summer can bring wildfire restrictions on campfires. Peak months: July, August, June, September Avoid: December, January
Summer cited as most reliable: 75–90°F days, long daylight, good water use.
