RV campers expecting shade or seclusion will be disappointed. Electric hookup sites are fully exposed, and several reviewers flagged uneven ground, washed-out gravel, and narrow sites that make setup frustrating. Bring an air mattress regardless.

Summer brings the best conditions for camping and lake access. Daytime highs typically run 75-88°F with cooler evenings dropping to 55-65°F. The beach, swimming, and boating are fully operational, and trails stay lush and accessible. Weekend crowds pick up during summer, especially holiday weeks. Afternoon thunderstorms are common. Winter temperatures can drop to 13°F, transforming the park into snow-covered terrain for those who prefer cold-weather camping.
Summer is peak season with beach, swimming, boating and full facilities operating.

Nine Eagles State Park offers a wide range of amenities for campers and visitors, including both modern and primitive facilities. Key features include modern restrooms, showers, fire rings at campsites, picnic tables, a dump station for RVs, and a playground. "The beach and lake area is secluded with plenty of picnic tables and is well-kept regarding cleanliness," remarked one visitor. The park also provides vault toilets, trails for hiking, biking, and equestrian activities, and a trash dumpster for waste management. "Showers are older and separate from the restrooms. I’d call them old modern," noted a camper. Additionally, potable water is available through water hydrants on-site.
