Go if

Families and paddlers who want a base camp near the Okefenokee will get the most out of it. Book a lakefront site, grab a kayak rental, and watch alligators from the wildlife platform. Spring is the best window. Site 35 gets good marks for being level with a solid picnic setup.

Skip if

No campfire is currently allowed anywhere in the park, so if a fire ring at night is the point of the trip, this one won't deliver right now. Also, RVers needing sewer hookups or full-hookup pads won't find them, and some loop sites sit close enough to neighbors that privacy is t
