Planning Tips

    About Primitive Group Campground

Travel to a place where you can go at your own pace, or as a fast as the current takes you. Blackwater River offers tranquility and an incredible array of activities for the outdoor enthusiast. To enjoy all the park has to offer, camping in one of the park's 30 campsites is a must. Nestled among towering longleaf pines, this small campground offers spacious gravel sites with full hookup and can accommodate tents to 35-foot RVs. A short walk on the Juniper Lake Nature Trail leads from the campground down to the water for swimming and relaxing. Witness a sky afire as the sun sets over the forest. Marvel at the moonlight sparkling on the Blackwater River at nightfall. Listen to the sounds of crickets and frogs echoing through the night.
