Some mention
"Visitor feedback is largely positive: campers praise the quiet, shaded and well-spaced sites, good paddling/boat launch access and clean restrooms. Common negatives reported in reviews include sandy/dusty roads, insect and tick presence in warm months, and older bathhouse facilities; some visitors note spotty cell signal."

Best Time to Camp at Faver-Dykes State Park Campground
The sweet spot? Late fall through early spring, when Florida shakes off its humidity and serves up crisp mornings that make you reach for a light jacket, sunny afternoons perfect for hitting the trails, and evenings cool enough to actually enjoy that campfire. Summer is the wild card—yes, it's hot and the afternoon thunderstorms roll in like clockwork, but there's something magical about having the trails mostly to yourself while everything explodes into impossibly lush green. Just pack the bug spray (mosquitoes and ticks love summer too) and embrace the authentic Florida experience that keeps the crowds away.
Warm season supports paddling and wildlife but Florida summer heat/bugs may reduce comfort.
Milder weather and active birding make fall a very good season for visits.
Spring offers ideal weather, active wildlife and prime paddling/birding opportunities.
Mild Florida winters are comfortable; park remains accessible and peaceful.
