Paraloma Park sits on Millwood Lake's northern shore with 30 paved RV sites offering water and electric hookups. The campground stays quiet, sometimes nearly empty, which means plenty of solitude but also occasional maintenance gaps. Modern amenities include flush toilets, hot showers, and a dump station. Expect lakeside views from most sites, though recreational options beyond fishing and boating are limited.
Paraloma Park is a developed lakeside campground with paved sites and utility hookups that accommodate trailer use and lake-based recreation. The site layout and facilities emphasize RV/trailer access and general campsite use.
Weather and SeasonsBest season: fall. Fall offers the most comfortable weather and the best fishing—daytime highs are commonly in the 60s–70s°F (50s–60s at night) from September through November, making boat and shore fishing pleasant and long-lasting. Catfish fishing and waterfowl viewing peak in the shoulder months, and humidity and insects decline so evenings are pleasant for campfires and wildlife watching. Crowds are lighter after Labor Day compared with summer weekends, so you get lakeside solitude without sacrificing services
Peak months: October, September, April, May

Natural Features and SceneryThe campground occupies flat, lowland terrain at 308 feet elevation, surrounded by dense timber forests that meet the lake's edge. Millwood Lake's defining feature spreads beneath the surface: roughly 20,000 acres of submerged timber creating an underwater maze of ancient trees. This flooded forest habitat has become one of the lake's most ecologically significant areas, supporting trophy catfish and attracting serious anglers. The landscape offers lake views rather than dramatic vistas. Functional scenery shaped by water, wood, and flat Arkansas bottomland.
