Overnight camping doesn't exist here. If you arrived expecting to pitch a tent or hook up an RV, you'll need to book elsewhere. Also, calm-weather days bring biting flies, and the sound swim area has had bacterial contamination issues in May.
Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
Fall delivers mild temps (mid-60s to low-70s during the day, 50s at night in October), steady winds for kite flying, and far fewer tourists than summer. Humidity and biting flies drop after Labor Day. Winter stays relatively mild around 53°F with clear skies. Good for hiking, less ideal for hang gliding. Summer hits the mid-80s with higher humidity. Reviewers warn that biting flies become a problem during calm-weather periods, so visit on breezy days if possible.
