Cabin renters expecting a bathroom steps away may be disappointed, some cabins sit a real distance from the restroom buildings, which gets old fast after dark. Bring your own bedding and kitchenware regardless.
Compare with similar sites, watch availability, and build a packing list — Camp Sage handles all of it.
Summer delivers the best conditions for using the reservoir. Typical highs reach the mid-80s to mid-90s°F, with evenings dropping into the 50s and 60s. Expect steady High Plains wind, afternoon thunderstorms, and holiday weekend crowds. The marina and full park services operate during this season. Winter temperatures support campfire camping but limit water-based activities.
Summer is best for reservoir activities; events like Kids Fishing Clinic and fireworks.
