Best Time to Camp at Tomoka State Park Loop Cg1

Camp here any time of year, though each season offers its own personality. Fall through spring brings mild temperatures, lower humidity, and peak conditions for hiking the trails or spending dawn on the water with binoculars in hand—this is when Florida's winter bird residents arrive and the hammock comes alive with migrating warblers. Summer ushers in the authentic Florida experience: warm mornings perfect for early paddling, dramatic afternoon thunderstorms that cool things down, and the buzz of insects that reminds you this is truly wild country. Pack bug spray during the warmer months, and you'll be rewarded with lush vegetation and fewer crowds.
