About Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park Campground

Nestled among historic Civilian Conservation Corps-era landscapes, Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park welcomes campers to 73 sites spread across three distinct loops—Sandhill, Turkey Oak, and Lakeview. Each site comes equipped with a picnic table, fire ring/grill, and potable water, with most offering electric hookups (20/30-amp) and dump station access for RVs and trailers. Note: Turkey Oak campground will be closed for renovations beginning November 1, 2025.
Gold Head has three campground loops (Sandhill, Turkey Oak and Lakeview) with a total of 73 campsites that accommodate tents, trailers and motorized campers. The park also offers primitive campsites (including group primitive sites) and historic lakefront cabins.
