Time your trip for late fall through early spring, when Florida sheds its summer swelter and trades it for crisp mornings, mild afternoons, and perfect campfire weather. Those cooler months mean comfortable hiking, fewer bugs, and the kind of evenings that keep you lingering outside under the stars. Summer visitors will encounter afternoon thunderstorms and muggy heat, but they're rewarded with a symphony of croaking frogs, splashing fish, and wetlands pulsing with life—just pack the bug spray and embrace the subtropical experience.
