Best Time to Camp at Cabin Campground

Here's the spring's superpower: that constant 72-degree temperature means perfect swimming weather exists year-round. Summer visitors find it blissfully cool, while winter swimmers discover it's warmer than the air—nature's heated pool. The park never closes its gates to the seasons, though the Suwannee has a mind of its own during heavy rains, sometimes rising to remind everyone who's really in charge around here.

About Cabin Campground

Imagine waking up in a cabin on stilts, your morning coffee in hand as you watch the legendary Suwannee River flow past your porch. That's the everyday magic at Lafayette Blue Springs State Park, where five vacation cabins perch above one of Florida's most spectacular first-magnitude springs—a crystalline window into an underwater cave system that'll take your breath away.
The park offers five rental cabins on stilts above the river and a tent‑only, pack‑in campground. Primitive camping (including a primitive youth area) and a primitive group camping area (up to 30 people) are available.

FishingFishing is permitted along the river bank and along the Alan Mill Pond Spring Run (not in swim areas); anglers must follow state regulations and may need a fishing license.
