Best Time to Camp at Key Largo Hammock Botanical State Park Campground

November through April is when this tropical paradise truly shines—comfortable temperatures, manageable humidity, and blissfully few mosquitoes make for perfect hiking conditions. The summer wet season transforms the hammock into a steamy, buggy sauna; if you're brave enough to visit between May and October, arm yourself with insect repellent, cover up with long sleeves, and hit the trails at sunrise before the heat and humidity reach their peak.
