Anyone expecting to spend the night will be disappointed, there's no camping of any kind. Bridge washouts from June 2023 have limited trail access, and no cell service on AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile means you can't check conditions mid-visit.

Fall delivers the most reliable conditions. Daytime highs run 50s to 70s°F from September through October, with nights dropping into the 20s and 40s. Afternoon thunderstorms are less frequent than summer, making trail planning easier. Cottonwoods peak in late September and early October. Raptor migration and increased deer activity make wildlife viewing strongest in fall. Winter brings cold, clear days good for hiking but temperatures stay below freezing much of the day.
Fall delivers the most reliable conditions and seasonal events; recommended season.
