New Spicer Meadows sits beside a 2,000-acre mountain reservoir at the edge of the Carson-Iceberg Wilderness. The campground has 60 family sites and one group site. Weather and SeasonsBest season: summer. Summer offers full access to the 2,000-acre reservoir and reliably warm, dry weather (daytime highs typically in the mid-60s to mid-80s°F, nights in the 40s–50s°F), so water sports, boating on the lower basin, and peaceful paddling upstream into the Carson-Iceberg Wilderness are all at their peak. Natural Features and SceneryThe reservoir changes character as you move upstream. The lower basin handles motorized boats and water sports.
