Driving directionsFrom East/West: Take I-89 to White River Junction, then I-91N. From the North (White River Junction): Take exit 11 off I-91, turn onto Rt. 5 South, continue ~4 miles, turn right onto Clay Hill Rd. at the volunteer fire station, follow Clay Hill Rd. ~1 mile; North Hartland Lake is on the right (look for yellow gates); picnic shelters on the left (sign: North Hartland Beach). From the South (Brattleboro, MA, etc.): Take exit 9 off I-91 North, left onto Rt. 5 North at ramp, bear right at Hartland intersection to continue on Rt. 5 North for about 5 miles, turn left onto Clay Hill Rd. (after Village of North Hartland and 2nd I-91 underpass), follow Clay Hill Rd. ~1 mile; North Hartland Lake on the right (look for yellow gates); picnic shelters on the left (sign: North Hartland Beach).
Accessible via I-89 to White River Junction then I-91N. Primary access from I-91 exits 11 (from north) and 9 (from south), then Rt. 5 and Clay Hill Rd.
