Best Time to Camp at Catalina State Park Campground

The campground welcomes visitors throughout the year, allowing you to experience the desert's ever-changing moods across all seasons. The popular Ringtail campground loop operates seasonally from January 1 through March 31 at $25 per night, perfect for escaping winter's chill while enjoying the desert's most comfortable temperatures.

Spring (Mar-May)

About Catalina State Park Campground

Nestled at the base of the majestic Santa Catalina Mountains, Catalina State Park welcomes you with 120 well-appointed campsites featuring electric and water hookups, paved access, and all the essentials—picnic tables, BBQ grills, modern restrooms with hot showers, and an RV dump station. Whether you're planning a weekend getaway or an extended desert retreat, you can reserve your spot year-round for stays up to 14 consecutive nights.
RV and tent camping are offered; Campgrounds A and B are electric/water sites. Equestrian Center camping with horse stalls is available. Ringtail campground is non-electric and has no water hookup (seasonally available Jan 1–Mar 31).
