    About Tar Hollow Campground

Step back in time at this authentic 1930s CCC cabin, hand-built by Company 505 using American Chestnut timber and locally quarried stone. This beautifully preserved piece of history once housed the administrative staff who oversaw one of Ohio's first Civilian Conservation Corps camps, where 200 young men lived and worked to build our state's public lands during the Great Depression.
