"Reviewers consistently praise Alum Creek Equestrian Camp for its excellent, well‑maintained horse trails, scenic and diverse landscapes, and a peaceful, year‑round camping experience (including winter). Camp facilities are basic and equestrian‑focused: most campers note primitive sites (porta‑johns, no electricity), limited shaded sites, and occasional conflicts when non‑horse users or day riders occupy equestrian campsites or when lake activity spooks horses."
