Best Time to Camp at Campground (Sites 41-72)

Plan your visit between April and October when Missouri's mild weather makes every outdoor activity a pleasure. Summer months bring warm lake temperatures ideal for swimming and the longest days for boating adventures, though spring and fall offer their own rewards with vibrant wildflowers and comfortable temperatures for hiking. Please note: The campground will be closed throughout all of 2026 for improvements, so be sure to plan your Long Branch experience for 2025 or 2027 and beyond.

Long Branch State Park wraps around the shimmering waters of Long Branch Lake, where three boat ramps, a full-service marina, and a sandy swimming beach invite endless summer adventures. Sites 41-72 place you at the heart of the action with modern camping amenities and direct access to all the lake has to offer. Beyond the water, explore the hidden gems of native savanna and prairie where trails wind through wildflower meadows and birdsong fills the air.
The park has a modern campground with a mix of electric RV sites and walk-in/basic tent sites; marina and boat-access recreation are focal points.
