Best Time to Camp at Raccoon Ridge Campground

The campground truly comes alive from late spring through summer, when the lake beckons anglers at dawn and boaters carve wakes across the water all day long. If you're planning to visit between April 1st and October 31st, you'll have full access to all the creature comforts—drinking water on tap, hot showers after a day on the lake, and a convenient dump station. Winter camping is possible for the adventurous souls who don't mind a more stripped-down experience, but just know that those amenities take a seasonal break, so you'll want to pack accordingly for a truly rustic stay.
