Best Time to Camp at Campground

April through October is prime time here, when the campground opens fully with running water and hot showers to welcome you back from your adventures. Spring wildflowers carpet the trails, summer heat sends everyone to the water, and fall—well, fall might just steal your heart with its explosion of color across those rolling hills. Winter adventurers are welcome too, though you'll want to call ahead about amenities since some facilities take a seasonal break.

At Finger Lakes State Park, Missouri's industrial past has been transformed into an adventure playground where ATV trails carve through forested hills and paddlers explore a serene 4.5-mile water trail.
