Best Time to Camp at West Campground

Southern Arizona's year-round sunshine makes West Campground a four-season destination, with each season painting the landscape in different hues. The park's 4,000-foot elevation keeps summer temperatures more moderate than the surrounding desert, while winter brings crisp, clear days perfect for hiking and some of the best birdwatching of the year. Spring wildflowers add splashes of color to the hillsides, and fall delivers comfortable camping weather with stunning golden-hour light across the water.
