Best Time to Camp at Sonoita Creek Campground

The campground welcomes its busiest crowds from May through November when warm temperatures make the lake irresistible for swimming and water sports. For a quieter experience with ideal conditions for hiking the surrounding trails and spotting migrating birds, consider visiting between late fall and early spring when the desert weather turns pleasantly mild and the landscape comes alive with winter wildflowers.

Best
Spring(Mar-May)
