Best Time to Camp at Main Campground

Open year-round, this campground transforms with the seasons. Winter draws snowbirds escaping the cold, spring explodes with wildflower blooms painting the desert floor, while fall brings crisp evenings perfect for gathering around the fire. Summer? That's for the brave—the heat is fierce and unrelenting, but the sunsets make even the hardiest desert dwellers stop and stare. Plan for cool desert nights whenever you visit; those star-filled skies have a chill that makes the campfire more than just ambiance.
