Primary recreation centers on the large sandy Lake Michigan beach, pier and lighthouse viewing, swimming in a designated swim area, beach play and waterfront strolling. There are playground facilities and beach volleyball courts; nearby town amenities and waterfront attractions are easily accessible.

Swimming

Designated swim area is a short walk from the campground with an accessible walkway; beach wheelchairs are available to borrow from the campground office. Beach flag warning system is used—red flags mean water is unsafe. Do not swim near or jump off the pier.

Campground rules

Pets are not allowed
No ground fires. Portable firepits allowed only if at least 6 inches above the sand, fully enclosed with a cover, not on asphalt, and not within 15 feet of any camping unit. Old-style washtub fire pits are prohibited.
